At the core of many contributions in the space of service you will find K.I.L.O or (LessWork Lens) in the credits. K.I.L.O aka SkitL'z plays a crucial role in the awareness of our blog success as well. All photos are edited and provided by LessWork Lens, which is run by K.I.L.O aka SkitL'z. Her music is formulated with inspiration to serve those who are blessed to encounter her in the physical form. Pacing in her lane while developing internal opportunities from her illuminating career. This is an artist with a heart of sacrifice and scarcity. Sacrifice because she's willing to backseat herself for the greater good of artists and other opportunities outside of her best interest. Scarcity because when she's in the front there's no artist you can compare her to.
Her mother named her "Akiya" which means "A Star Is Born." 30+ years later and her light dims next to none. We must embrace those who are chosen for being genuine without trying. I strongly believe K.I.L.O would succeed in whatever she focuses on. She's becoming aware of what it means to be a rapper and influencer. These are tools to ignite societies in which K.I.L.O is a part of multiple sections. BLACK. ATHLETE. GAY. WOMAN. RAPPER. The best and worst of life experiences lies in the titles mentioned. Ironically, K.I.L.O has given new life to these labels and in return she's been on the receiving end of acceptance and listening ears eager to hear her story. Speaking of K.I.L.O's story, it's best heard live while she paints verbal pictures of her pursuit, pain, and passions.
K.I.L.O is a 3x recipient of the award for hip-hop performer of the year (MAMA). Her live shows are as theatrical as a Broadway show. When passionate meets charisma in human form, K.I.L.O can be located on a stage near you. Still experiencing a lot of first-time moments. One could say the best for the late-blooming mc has yet to come. At the bottom of the 1st month of the year, January 28, 2022, K.I.L.O will be gearing up to do her first show of the year. This will be in collaboration with Madison's local band WURK for the first time in her career. In total, 8 talented artists and bands will "occupy" the stage inside Harmony Bar and Grill in support of WURK 4-week concert series titled: OCCUPATION (Harmony Bar Takeover January 2022).

The Harmony Bar will ring off the new year with an innovative take on the concert residency: They have invited WURK to take the stage every Friday in January to host “OCCUPATION”, a 4-night series displaying a huge breadth in genre and talented supporting acts. Each event will display different genres, bands, and special guests, plus a separate set by WURK. Advance tickets and bundles will be available for purchase soon in-person at the Harmony Bar. "Punch In" every Friday night in January 2022!
